First of all, I am excited that you are interested in smoothie-ing with me!

If you follow me on social you know that superfood smoothies have become a staple of my diet and lifestyle. I stumbled upon them when searching for meal ideas upon transitioning over to an anti-inflammatory diet and instantly fell in love with them. Why?

For one, superfood smoothies decrease inflammation while supporting detoxification of the liver, kidneys, colon and cells in every part of our body. Plus these smoothies are not only anti-inflammatory but gut healing. They were really perfect for me since we were addressing my gut as part of my Hashimoto’s healing protocol.

To this day I have at least one smoothie a day- either for breakfast and/or lunch. It has simplified my life in so many ways and sped up my healing process! And best of all- I include so many more veggies in my diet that I otherwise wasn’t used to consuming, such as bok choy, chard and kale. I love experimenting with various flavors and colors- it never gets boring!

So what's in my superfood smoothies?

  Greens such as kale, chard, zucchini, bok choy, spinach, cucumber
  Fruit such as blueberries, raspberries, peaches, bananas, kiwi, pears, apples
  Superfood seeds such as chia, hemp, flax
  Good fats such as avocado, MCT oil, almond butter, cashew butter
  Nuts & seeds like sprouted pumpkin or sunflower seeds
  Gluten-free, dairy-free liquid such as coconut water, filtered water, nut milk

  Herbs & spices such as cacao powder, turmeric, ginger and essential oils
